Character Grade / BC Grade

This is a grade down from Prime / AB and typically displays occasional small tight knots, some sap (or heart in the case of sap species) and possibly occasional small shakes and pockets of ingrown bark.

This grade is probably most popular in contemporary design situations (particularly in Oak) where a very rustic grade is consider too busy.
