Traditional and elegant, tongued & grooved wooden floors offer style, elegance, beauty, value and practicality. Solid wood floor boards are durable and easy to maintain and they will last a lifetime or more in normal domestic traffic situations. Easily repaired when necessary, hardwood flooring can be sanded and refinished in situ. Wood floors are hygienic and generally harbour far fewer allergens than most alternatives such as deep pile carpets.

Just Wood Flooring - Quality Oak Flooring

Just Wood Flooring holds in stock, for prompt delivery or collection, a range of premium quality solid Oak and Walnut wood floor boards, in its warehouse premises 15 miles East of York City centre.

The hardwood used in all Just Wood Flooring’s solid floor boarding originates in temperate forests throughout North America, Europe, Russia and also in forests further afield.

Selected sawn hardwood logs are overlaid for a number of weeks, then sawn and naturally air dried before being gently kiln dried to a moisture content averaging 10 per cent RH.

The wooden floorboards are then machined to a robust tongue and groove flooring section and end tenoned to the same tooling profile, thus providing a very precise fit both side to side and end to end.

The machined but unfinished Oak and Walnut flooring is then machine sanded and also wire brushed if required. The floor boards are then further processed through state of the art finishing plant, to a variety of beautifully attractive finishes (having been brushed/distressed/fumed/limed or hand scraped as required).
